About Dr. Rivera

Dr. Alex Rivera is a board-certified internal medicine physician with more than 14 years of experience delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary and preventive care to adults. He specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of a wide range of adult medical conditions, with a strong emphasis on chronic disease prevention, complex medical coordination, and evidence-based practice.

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Dr. Rivera developed a passion for medicine through community health outreach programs during his undergraduate years. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Florida, graduating with honors. He then completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine.

Dr. Rivera went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. His training included extensive experience in hospital medicine, outpatient primary care, geriatrics, cardiology, endocrinology, and critical care.
